Welcome to Kharkov!
Kharkov is the second largest city in Ukraine. With 49 million people in Ukraine, about 2 million live in Kharkov. We have a huge and impressive main square which is the second largest in Europe, majestic cathedrals and small churches, beautiful parks, a railway station, a metro (subway) - many stations of which can be considered as a separate work of art, theaters, a circus, and several museums.

Kharkov, as one of the main industrial and scientific centers of Ukraine, is the home of many scientific discoveries that have made many revolutions in technology.

Kharkov already celebrated its 350th anniversary.

Kharkov used to be our previous capital (now it is Kiev), and is still considered the second capital in the minds of Ukrainian people.

Kharkov is famous for its youthful atmosphere, as well as its beautiful and sincere girls.

I hope you to enjoy your staying in Kharkov!

Useful tips

  • Bring flowers. Flowers play a much more important role in Ukraine than they do in the West. If you meet your lady's family, be sure to bring flowers to her mother. Always buy an odd number of flowers (even numbers are considered bad luck). Also, never buy yellow roses (can signal a decrease in feelings or the end of a relationship).
  • Dress your best. First impressions are very important. You will notice that on the street, people will look first at your clothes, then at your face.
  • Don't drink much alcohol. One of the main reasons Ukrainian ladies are interested in Western men is that alcoholism runs high among males in this part of the world, which causes them to be less than desirable husbands. So, when it comes to drinking, always show moderation and self-control.
  • Take off your shoes in her home. To avoid bringing dirt into their homes, Ukrainian citizens almost never wear their shoes inside. Instead, they wear slippers. They usually have an extra pair or two for guests near the front door. If they don't, simply take off your shoes and remain in your stocking feet.
